Conventional video wall setups
When using Fusion Signage on a video wall, several factors depend on the specific configuration.
Fusion Signage automatically runs and stretches content to fill the entire screen of the connected device or display. For example, on a standard 1920x1080 resolution screen, the content will be scaled to fit accordingly.
In typical video wall configurations such as 2x2, 3x3, or similar, the aspect ratio of the content remains consistent. However, the overall resolution changes as additional screens are added.
Fusion Signage is usually installed on an external media player connected to one of the screens, which then distributes the source. Video wall panels often have internal loop-through capabilities, feeding the same source to other panels and slicing or scaling the content as needed. This results in content being stretched or scaled to fill each screen. If your panels only support 1920x1080 loop-through, then a 3840x2160 (4K) source will be scaled up, potentially leading to a loss of image quality.
Please note: some panels support 4K loop-through or internal media playback, but it’s important to verify specifications with the manufacturer or your integrator.
